This is the perfect option for you, if you want to enjoy a few days in the Icelandic country side with your kids, go on a 3-4 hour ride every day and enjoy sightseeing on your own in the afternoons.

Choose two, three, four or five days in the last week of May to stay and ride on our farm Minnivellir between the glacier river Þjórsá and the volcano Hekla.

The rate includes accommodation, food and the daily ride. You will need your own rental car for the transfer and daily sightseeing.

You stay in the beautifully renovated farmhouse Minnivellir, close to Hekla volcano, with views all the way to Langjökull  and Eyjafjallajökull glaciers. It's the perfect location to discover the Golden Circle or the Waterfalls of the South even further.

Every day between 9 and 1.30 we offer a riding tour in the surroundings. This is a family friendly tour, so you don´t have to be an experienced rider to join the tour. There is already a family with 3 kids aged 11 and 13 on this trip, if you have children 10 or older, that should be a perfect match.

Hekla volcano is one of Iceland's most active volcanos and got the name 'Gate to Hell' in the Medieval time, due to her explosive eruptions. While being feared, the lava and ash from the eruptions also provided fertilization of the soil and created rich pastures in the area around the volcano.
