Horse Riding Center and Café Íshestar

Café Íshestar
Íshestar´s horse center is situated in beautiful nature only 15 minutes from Reykjavik. From there we go on our exciting day tours through lava fields and stunning nature. We have a perfect facility to welcome our guests in our horse center before and after the riding tour is finished. There is a small cafeteria called Café Íshestar where our guests can enjoy delicious homemade sandwiches, snack, and drinks. After the riding tour, we offer our guests a hot drinks cafe or tea to warm up.

Lunch at our Horse center
On-site we have a fully equipped kitchen and every day our chef serves a delicious lunch for only ISK 2000. Our guests can enjoy their lunch in our large glass hall with a view overlooking our horses in the paddock.

Small boutique
In a little corner, we have a small boutique where we sell few souvenirs, books and image books about the Icelandic horse, lopapeysur (Icelandic wool sweaters), gloves and more all at a very reasonable price.

After a great riding tour, it is perfect to choose a little memento of your stay in Iceland or a token of remembrance of your riding tour.

Play area
For the children, we have a small children’s corner with books, chalkboards walls, and toys to keep our youngest ones occupied. The children can, of course, go pet the horses as well and take a look at our adorable little rabbits in the garden.

If our guests are not going on a riding tour for some reason or are just waiting for family or friends who are on a riding tour they can enjoy free wi-fi at our horse center, look at books about the Icelandic horse or enjoy the beautiful hiking trails near Íshestar´s horse center.
